NMEA 2000 is a low-cost data network that runs at 250 Kbps and uses a Controller Area Network (CAN) integrated
circuit (IC). It allows multiple electronic devices to be connected together on a common channel to easily share
information.
NMEA 2000 Backbone or Drop and connectors are the industry standard for data communication between shipboard
electronic devices. Products generally apply to:
Ship-dockside charging
Body electronics module
Water engine
Water instrument panel
Marine navigation equipment RV
Water equipment
These are not all uses of this product.

Feature:
1. Wide Application: Fit for NMEA 2000 Networks, for Lowrance Networks, for Simrad Networks, for B and G Networks, for Navico Networks, for Garmin Networks.
2. Main Function: Designed for NMEA 2000 backbone systems. Use these starter cable kit for proper termination for NMEA 2000 network.
3. Tee Terminators: T connector is mainly used for the increase and connection of electronic equipment for NMEA 2000 communication network. Allows connection of up to four devices.
4. Durable Material: Made of quality ABS material, it is oil resistant, IP67 water resistant, stable performance, durable in a marine environment.
5. Marine Accessories: For N2K cable is one of the most critical connectors for the on site communication and control network of ships or yachts.
Question:What do i need to connect my new 2021 yamaha fsh 190 sport engine controls with my new garmin echomap uhd 93sv?
Answer:If your engine uses NMEA 2000 to talk to your gauges, you need a tee and a cable. Don't forget to put the resister at the end of the tee
Question:Does the t connector come with the termination resistor ?
Answer:The single t-connector is designed to connect a power cable or a drop cable, from a sensor or display, to the NMEA 2000 backbone. A terminator is required at each end of the backbone.
Question:Can the backbone be connected to the side connector or does it have to be connected to the end connector?
Answer:The T-connector is designed to connect a drop cable to the backbone. The drop cable goes to a display or sensor. The backbone may continue from the other side of the T, or could end with a terminator.
Question:Can I use this connector to use two transducers at the same time? On for downscan and one for traditional sonar?
Answer:Each T-Connector allows one drop cable (connected to a transducer, display or sensor) to connect to the backbone cable.
The data from each of your transducers will then be available for display.
Question:Are those male and female type terminal ends on there. How many are female vs male thanks?
Answer:For connection to the backbone cables, one side of the T is male, the opposite side is female. The top of the T that connects to a drop cable is female.
Question:Can I use this for my suzuki backbone to connect to my garmin?
Answer:If your Suzuki backbone is NMEA 2000 (5 pin) and your Garmin has a NMEA 2000 (5 pin) socket. The Regatta Processing tee-connector can be used, with an appropriate length drop cable, to make the connection.
Question:Is this for power connection to multiple head units?
Answer:It's simply a tee for connecting devices to your network. You could use it to connect power to your network if that is what you want to do but it can be used for either purpose.
